The average house price in this newer neighbourhood of London was $267,328 and for condos, $216,825. The 15 homes that did sell went for 98% of the asking price and were on the market for 40 days and 40 nights!
More and more retail and dining businesses are expanding to this neighbourhood, and with very quick and easy access to Highway 401, a short commute to Ingersoll or Woodstock.

Summerside Neighbourhood in South London Real Estate Update

Summerside in South East London Ontario houses and condos continue to remain one of the areas of London Ontario where home prices are stable and offer good value. 71 houses and 17 condos changed hands.
In 2012 the average asking price for a house in Summerside was $269,889 and for a condo, $211,429. The homes that did sell sold for 99% of asking and on average, 91 days for a house and 69 days for a condoto sell! Do not let the 91 days deceive you, some of these sales were new homes, hence the longer sale ratio. To the best of my knowledge, of the 43 houses I compared, the average days it took a home to sell was 41 days!
This newer area of London is expanding and with the new plants and warehouses being built in the south east and easy access to the 401, Summerside is growing with mostly younger families.
These homes are attracting boomers or singles because of price and easy access to major highways, plus, with new schools, churches and shopping, has the amenities.

Summerside is located in South East London, East of Highbury, north of the 401, West of Veterans Memorial Parkway (Airport Road) and south on Commissioners Road East.
